Welcome to
Christ the King
Roman Catholic Church
A Multi-cultural Community
of Faith, Hope & Love
in Sudbury, Ontario.

We’re truly glad you’re here.
Whether Sudbury has always been home or you’ve arrived from across Canada or around the world, you belong in our parish family.
Since 1917, Christ the King — the oldest Roman Catholic parish in Sudbury — has been a place where people discover faith, friendship, and a sense of home. Some visitors even discover the parking lot… eventually.
Our community is wonderfully diverse: families who’ve been here for generations, newcomers who join us for our Malayalam Mass, parishioners from across Africa, and people from many other countries. Everyone brings something unique, and together we make Christ the King a warm, joyful place to pray — and enjoy the occasional potluck that could rival a world buffet.
As pastor, I love watching how easily people connect — through faith, through food, or simply through a smile. Whether you’re here for Sunday Mass, a cultural celebration, or a quiet moment of prayer, I hope you feel welcomed, comfortable, and pleasantly surprised by how quickly you feel at home.
Christ the King isn’t just a historic building — it’s a community full of generous people who share their time and talents.

If you ever feel called to help out, we’d be delighted to have you. There’s always room for another friendly face, and we promise not to rush you into anything before you’re ready.
Thank you for visiting Christ the King. May you find peace, friendship, and a true home with us.
Fr. Raymond Akor
Pastor, Christ the King Parish
